The Quartet of PTC ASIA, CeMAT ASIA, ComVac ASIA and Industrial Supply ASIA 2013 ended with major gains

PTC ASIA, CeMAT ASIA, ComVac ASIA and Industrial Supply ASIA 2013, the quartet shows for fluid power transmission, intralogistics, compressed air and vacuum, industrial subcontracting and lightweight construction successfully ended on 31 October in Shanghai. The four-day events not only witnesses a growth in every way including display areas, exhibitors and visitors, but further consolidates its competitiveness in the Chinese market. More than 2,100 exhibitors presented their cutting-edge products and technology over a display area of 150,000sqm, with a solid increase in the number of trade visitors by 12.5%, reaching 77,076professionalsfrom 80 countries and regions.
“This year we launched two premiere shows of ComVac ASIA and Industrial Supply ASIA, which perfectly meet the market requirements. Focusing on efficient production, the exhibitions along with PTC ASIA, CeMAT ASIA as well as newly planned shows of Battery Shanghai, Cold Chain ASIA and LIFT SHANGHAI at a single place have provided an ideal platform to showcase integrated solutions in demand,” said Wolfgang Pech, senior vice president of Deutsche Messe AG.
After two decades of development, PTC ASIA is now Asia’s biggest and the world’s second largest exhibition of its kind in the industry. At the meantime, the advent of ComVac ASIA marks an important addition to the Deutsche Messe AG event portfolio in China, which has a strong synergy with PTC ASIA.
PTC ASIA this year occupies 96,000 sqm with 1,500 exhibiting companies, alliance with ComVac ASIA of a record 11,500sqm with 151 exhibitors. SEW, Siemens, Nord, Bosch Rexroth, SKF, CAMOZZI, Parker Hannifin and other key companies competed to launch their latest high efficiency products under one roof.
Both sectors of mechanical power transmission and fluid power transmission grew in scale with a superb lineup of exhibitors: SEW, Siemens, Nord, Lenze, Bonfiglioli, EMAG, SKF, NSK, JTEKT, Emerson, WAFIOS; Bosch Rexroth, HAWE, HYDAC, STAUFF, HANSA-FLEX, CAMOZZI, Parker Hannifin, Kawasaki, Huade, Sunbun, HIGH-TECH FLUID POWER, Liming, Yuci, Hengli, Zhongchuan and TAIFENG, to name just a few. The international engagement maintained at a high level with worldwide pavilions from Germany, Italy, UK, France, the United States, Turkey, India, Japan, South Korea and China Taiwan.
Key companies that actively participated in the first ComVac ASIA included: KAESER, Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, BOGE, Fengli, BEKO, Fusheng, Kaishan, VMC, BUMATEC, TM.C.SS, Denver and Deaer.
Despite the downturn of the engineering machinery industry last year and in the first half of this year, PTC ASIA again achieved great success with the concerted efforts of both organizers and exhibitors. “Companies are increasingly aware that such a professional international exhibition is an excellent platform for them to investigate the market, learn information and conduct trade negotiations”, said HartmutRauen, managing director of the Power Transmission and Fluid Power Association at VDMA.
Crowned as key barometer of global logistics industry, CeMAT ASIA 2013 welcomed a group of global leaders in system integration, forklift truck and accessories, conveyors, electric hoist, AGV, cold chain and material lifting including Dematic, Daifuku, SSI Schaefer, CSIC, BMHRI, NTI, KENMEC, BRIAM, Muratec, Siasun; Jungheinrich, Vita-Wheel, Goodsense, BYD, Noblielift, Ruyi, Cascade, Kaup; Ho Jin, Tungray, Dingneng, etc. The total display area of the show reached 37,000sqm, with 490 exhibitors.
Technology drew great attention in this year’s CeMAT ASIA, as the smart, integrated and efficient operation has become the essence of materials handling and logistics nowadays. Exhibits featuring high technology from leading companies like Jungheinrich, Dematic, SSI SCHAEFER dazzled onsite.

The premiere of an innovation-centered CeMAT ASIA salon also offered a neutral, open and free exchange platform for business, industrial associations and media under the theme of forklift and system integration. Industrial elites gathered to explore the future trend.
Concurrent with the exhibition, interactive activities such as group visit, technical forums, purchase negotiation and buyers matchmaking were undertaken. And all information concerning the shows was sent to users via new media platforms like APP, Wechat and Weibo this year.
According to Wolfgang Pech, “We are not just trading fairs or selling booths. The core task for us is getting to know the market demand, so as to build up a grand-industrial platform for showcasing clients’ latest technology, products and services. This indicates that we meet the requirements of all visitor target groups, yet to attract more elites and market leaders to invest through our trade fairs.”“China is a huge market.
