Successful PTC and CeMAT set new trends for industry

Registering growth on all fronts – the number of exhibitors and the amount of display space sold – the PTC ASIA and CeMAT ASIA 2010 again triumphed as one of the leading exhibition platforms for the international power transmission/fluid power and materials handling industry, thus building new momentum for the industry. Over the four days of the shows from October 25 to 28, PTC ASIA and CeMAT ASIA delivered the good sign of 1,609 exhibitors with a total display area of 95,000 sq m. Two shows totally welcomed over 40,000 trade visitors from 80 countries and regions seeking business opportunities at the single place, 10% increase of international visitors.

“With exhibitor numbers holding steady and a 10% and 13% respective growth in the display space of PTC ASIA and CeMAT ASIA, we have improved on last years results, “declared Dr. Andreas Gruchow, member of the Deutsche Messe Managing Board, adding that not only the quantity of exhibitors was up year on year, but that there had also been a “marked increase in quality.” PTC ASIA and CeMAT ASIA have once again consolidated their position as Asia’s leading trade exhibitions.

With 1,207 exhibitors on 69,000 sq m displaying area, PTC ASIA 2010 presented the full spectrum of four major exhibit profiles of fluid power, mechanical drive, compressed air, spare parts and equipment. Allied with the international pavilions featuring joint displays from Germany, Italy, Britain, South Korea and the international pavilion made up of exhibitors from the United States, Spain, France, India, Korea, China, China Taiwan, etc., exhibiting companies from all over the world competed with each other on the stage and showcased their state-of-the-art technologies and products. As the world’s second largest and Asian’s top one trade fair for power transmission/fluid power, this year’s PTC provided exhibiting companies with an ideal platform for further tapping the market and establishing new business contacts with the global economic recovery. A rich array of the leading companies took active participation in PTC ASIA 2010, including the big names of the Schaeffler Group, NOK Freudenberg-Group, Parker, SKF, Trelleborg, Marcgaglia, ContiTech, Seal Maker, Kastas, Aston, Fenner, Atlas Copco, Sotras, Desran, NAILI Nordisk, Nissei, Quan Shi, Sino Deutch, Moventas, etc.

Beneficial from the economy recovery, CeMAT ASIA this year attracted a big number of industry giants coming back to the show, surging in its display area of 26,000 sqm. Highlighted with specific divided exhibit categories and client-oriented service, 402 exhibitors were presenting their cutting-edge technologies and products in sectors of Forklifts and Forklift Accessories, Pallet Rack and Cranes, Transportation Equipment, AUTO-ID and AGV. The show saw a cluster of world top-notch companies such as Linde, Crown, Heli, GLOBAL POWER, ISUZU, KION BAOLI、GLOBAL FRIEND, Ruyi, Nuoli, Zhongli, Zheli, Maximal, Goodsense, ABUS, SWF, TOSHIBA TEC, Muratec, Dematic and Swisslog to fully demonstrate the pioneering solutions and technologies. CEOs from the headquarters of quite a few multinational companies made their way to the CeMAT ASIA and talked business. Automation technology once again sparkled the show, setting new trends for the modern logistics with the on-site tangible product showcasing from domestic well-known companies. Honoring extraordinary achievements, innovations and best practice in the field of Automated Guided Vehicle Systems, the 2nd AGVS-Award was presented to SICK at the ceremony taken place on October 26th at the International AGV-Pavilion.

As the flagship trade fair for the industry, the PTC and CeMAT duo is a vital marketing vehicle. Quite a few companies reported excellent talks during these four days and confirmed to take part in the next shows.

Apart from the elaborate presentations by exhibitors, the special shows, lectures and trade events also attracted big crowds, providing a mix of information and inspiration. The 30th anniversary symposium of hydraulics, pneumatics & seals, 2010 compacting and paving machinery subsidiary annual conference, logistics & ICT 2010, the military logistics and the emergency logistics seminar, total 18 concurrent events and forums were successfully held at the fairground and in hotels during the shows.

Organized by Deutsche Messe AG, Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd., China Hydraulics Pneumatics & Seals Association, China General Machine Components Industry Association, China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing and Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, the next PTC ASIA and CeMAT ASIA will take place again in Shanghai from 24 to 27 October 2011.
